Apart from the standard safari vessels, the Blue Voyager features a rugged steel-hull construction. Steel hulls tend to be sturdier than wooden hulls, with deeper drafts resulting in higher stability when sailing in rough waters. They are also easy to customise, and they can be modified according to designs, as the Blue Voyager - with its remarkably unique layout - splendidly demonstrates.
Blue Voyager’s unique layout features a variety of exterior environments designed for you to spend as much time as possible enjoying the stunning Maldivian views and the Indian Ocean’s breeze while sailing from one atoll to the other. Enjoy a cocktail atop the sky lounge, plunge in the outdoor Jacuzzi, chill in the shaded terrace, bask in the sun on one of three sundecks, or search for dolphins from the yacht’s viewing deck.
The yacht’s exclusive afterdeck platform allows you to relax on board while staying as close to the ocean as possible. During the day, when the boat moors close to a shallow reef, you can use it to quickly access the water for a refreshing plunge or a quick snorkelling tour of the lagoons. After the sunset, grab a drink at the bar and head to the platform together with your camera. The floodlights attract clouds of swarming plankton along with manta rays and whale sharks!
Choose the accommodation that best suits your needs between different bed layouts. On the lower deck, there are eight Classic twin cabins and one Classic double cabin with a queen-size bed. Two Premium twin cabins and two Premium double cabins, located on the upper deck, feature large windows with breathtaking views of the Maldivian atolls. All the cabins feature spacious wardrobes, a private bathroom, independent air conditioning, towels and linen, TV, and a media player.
Blue Voyager’s onboard diving school offers a wide variety of scuba diving courses. Two of these are fundamental, especially for diving in the Maldives - the Advanced Open Water Diver, and the EANx Diver. The first one lets you familiarize yourself with deep diving down to 30 metres; the second allows you to dive with Nitrox - a special gas blend recommended specifically for multiple dives. If you haven’t got these certifications yet, you can sign up to get them directly onboard the Blue Voyager!
The Maldives are one of the best places in the world to dive with manta rays, whale sharks, hammerheads, and other large pelagic species. The Blue Voyager has an itinerary dedicated to each one of these giants, alongside more traditional itineraries, such as routes along with the central atolls. Join the Manta Expedition to swim with manta rays, or get on the “Project: Shark” itinerary led by the resident marine biologist. Set sail for the Best of Central Atolls route to get a taste of everything the Maldives has to offer, including the hammerhead sharks of Rasdhoo Corner.
Take only pictures and leave no bubbles at all. The Blue Voyager is rebreather-friendly and has rebreathers for rent onboard. With a rebreather, you can dive in total silence and without doing any bubbles, leaving marine life undisturbed. You will be able to get up close to everything you want to observe and capture great underwater pictures on film. The rebreathers are by Hollis, a leading manufacturer in tech-diving equipment.
The Blue Shadow, a custom-built diving dhoni equipped with two compressors and a powerful engine, backs up Blue Voyager by assisting it and handling the diving logistics. The Blue Shadow takes care of transporting the divers to and back from the dive sites in total comfort, as well as tank-filling operations, and it follows the Blue Voyager as a shadow - backing it up when needed. The Blue Shadow features a spacious sundeck, external showers, individual tank and equipment storage areas, and dedicated rinsing tanks for photographic equipment.
