Boat specifications

A traditional, seaworthy construction

Eco Blue is the archetypal diving cruise yacht. Thirty-two metres long and ten metres wide, it was built in 2002 at a time when diving safaris in the Maldives were becoming popular. It has been completely restructured in 2017, respecting much of its nautical tradition while blending in comfort and modernity in the process.

The result is the classic feel of wood on the waves, with all the perks of a modern vessel, such as air-conditioning and bathrooms in all the cabins alongside the Lavazza coffee bar and draft beer system to entertain coffee and beer enthusiasts alike.

Eco Blue deck-by-deck

This luxurious yacht features stylish exterior and interior spaces, distributed on three decks. The main deck's restaurant, bar, and lounge area are the places where the meals and most of the social activities take place. The upper deck, right below the sun deck, is home to four spacious staterooms with windows. The lower deck is a stable location holding most of the cabins and the crew quarters. All over the boat's exterior areas are sunbeds and comfortable furniture, allowing you to socialize and relax in the ocean's breeze.

Three different cabin styles, from classic to modern

Eco Blue carries up to 24 guests who can be accommodated in 12 cabins of three different categories. The standard cabins have stunning natural wood floors, walls, ceilings, and furniture, and they offer a traditionally nautical experience. The deluxe-type cabins feature wooden floors, elegant white walls and ceilings, and modern furniture, and their counterparts in the upper deck have large windows allowing you to enjoy stunning views and picture-perfect sunsets.

Ecological awareness in every detail

Eco Blue takes environmental protection very seriously, and this by itself is a good enough reason for it to be a beloved safari boat. Aboard the Eco Blue, potable water is produced via an advanced filtering system and distributed to the guests in refillable aluminum bottles. Shampoo and shower gels are biodegradable and do not affect the delicate ecological balance of the coral reefs. In addition, all plastic waste is separated and sent for recycling to a processing factory that produces material for the apparel company Adidas.

Diving with Eco Blue

Explore the north, center, and south of the Maldives

Eco Blue offers a diversity of itineraries to explore every corner of the Maldivian archipelago. Choose an itinerary in the north to swim with the giant whale sharks and manta rays that stop by the cleaning stations. Opt for the south to see the large pelagic of the Indian Ocean, from jackfishes to grey reef sharks. Go for the central itineraries to have a geographical vantage point from where to explore the myriads of local dive sites.

Mantas and whale shark expeditions

Mantas and whale sharks have been a long-time favorite amongst scuba divers, who travel to the most remote location just to have the privilege of admiring these majestic creatures. Eco Blue created two itineraries dedicated to whale sharks and manta rays, giving divers the best way to get up close and personal with these Maldivian giants and learn all the secrets of these elusive animals, while actively participating in research and identification tasks.

Full PADI dive boat

Eco Blue is a fully certified PADI dive boat. PADI is an internationally recognized standard of excellence, and being a PADI dive boat means committing to maintaining this standard. Once aboard the Eco Blue, divers can take the next step in their diving education by taking part in one of the available PADI courses: fine-tune your skills with the peak-performance buoyancy course or expand your knowledge with an environmental program.

Eco Pro Divers stands for the ocean

Eco Pro Divers, the company behind Eco Blue, works hard to protect the world that it loves so much. The company worked for over ten years with the Research for Coral Breeding in almost all of the Maldivian atolls and they have also conducted several educational programs on ocean conservation and environmental awareness. Eco Pro Divers supports and cooperates with research organizations such as Manta Trust and Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme. Their dedicated team will share their knowledge on the local ecosystem and guide you in discovering the underwater realm of the Maldives for yourself.
