Horizon III fleet setup is designed to deliver the ultimate diving safari experience. The mother ship is a 39mt long, fully-equipped sleek and modern yacht. It provides a comfortable and stylish environment to replenish the energies and have a great time in between the dives. Diving takes place from the support vessel, a 20mt Maldivian Dhoni with capacity for 30 divers - a real powerhouse, armed with three electric compressors and a Nitrox system.
Horizon III accommodates 24 guests, distributed in 12 elegant and functional cabins of three different categories. The first category consists of nine comfortable “standard” cabins, each equipped with remote-controlled air conditioning, wardrobe, and bathroom with shower. The second and third categories, located on the upper deck, consist of two 9mt2 “deluxe” cabins and a princely 20mt2 “master deluxe” cabin. These classy staterooms feature large panoramic windows with stunning views on the Indian Ocean and private bathrooms with tub and massage showers.
Horizon’s restaurant serves a wide selection of delicious foods. Savor three freshly prepared, delicious buffet meals a day with international and oriental specialties - including vegetarian options - accompanied by a glass of wine from the onboard cellar or your favorite drink.
After a day of diving, head to the bar to sip a cocktail with like-minded spirits while enjoying a Maldivian sunset, or to have a nightcap while updating the logbook with your new sightings. The bar’s selection includes local beers and liquors, cocktails, and the most popular soft drinks.
Water, coffee, and tea are always free-flowing so make sure you stay well hydrated.
When they are not underwater, scuba divers can unwind by taking part in a choice of diligently selected outdoor activities - such as excursions to the islands, fishing, and snorkeling - or visit the onboard Spa and wellness facilities.
Take some close-up pictures of the tiny, colorful creatures that populate the shallow waters surrounding the atolls during a complimentary snorkeling trip. Test your skills with some local-style hook and line fishing, then barbecue on one of the islands, and feel the local vibe visiting the cities of Malè and Hulhumalè.
To recuperate the energies and be ready for your next action-packed day of diving, head to the onboard mini-spa and regenerate with one of the treatments provided by the skilled Ayurvedic therapist, or plunge in the Jacuzzi for a soothing massage.
Over the years Horizon III built its reputation as one of the most respected safari boats in the Maldives, among recreational divers and professionals of the diving industry. The emphasis on the quality of the diving as well as the commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and safety are just some of the reasons why over 65% of its guests are experienced divers that choose to repeat their holiday onboard the Horizon.
There is nothing better than diving with a team of knowledgeable professionals, especially in a world-class diving location such as the Maldives. This crew has decades of experience in Maldivian waters. Horizon’s skillful captain will sail to stunning atolls far from the most beaten tracks, and choose the ideal spot according to the weather conditions.
The guides logged thousands of dives in the Maldives. Their well-trained eye will spot every possible inhabitant of the reefs, and - when they are not busy breathing through a regulator - they will gladly share their vast knowledge of the numerous endemic species of the Indian Ocean.
Uncommonly for the Maldives, Horizon III quality standard restricts divers to guide ratio down to six to one. Diving in small groups is safer, more fun, and has a lower impact on marine life. Leave behind the crowds of divers and enjoy the peace of the underwater world without bumping onto your buddies.
The 26 Maldivian atolls are composed of myriads of tiny islands surrounded by impressive reefs waiting to explore. Each dive site has specific characteristics and is populated by thousands of different marine species, from colorful soft corals to untamed pelagic predators.
Horizon III itineraries include the best diving spots in the north, center, and south of the Maldives. Set sail to Baa Atoll in the north to be overshadowed by giant manta rays, travel to Thaa in the south to swim in the current with sharks or stay in the center for a taste of both worlds.
