The Ocean Divine is a very special boat operating in the Maldives, as it offers guests a very personalized and intimate experience within an unpretentious yet luxurious atmosphere. It is owned and managed by a couple who has been organizing dive safaris in this country for more than 20 years and the fact that 75% of their clients are repeaters clearly shows the quality of their operation. The best part? You will get to learn firsthand about the owners’ adventures and inspiring vision, as they live onboard and personally ensure excellence at all times!
This gorgeous vessel is one of the finest examples of a purpose built dive boat and is the result of owner David Mesnard’s dream - a very experienced dive professional with a deep knowledge of the Maldivian waters. Lack of space onboard is definitely not an issue, as the exclusive Ocean Divine is 34 metres long and caters to 12 guests only, accommodated in six very well-appointed ensuite cabins. All of them are located on the lower deck, have a porthole view, a queen size bed plus a single bed, individually controlled AC and their own plasma screen complete with DVD player.
The sun deck is perfect for sun lovers and the main deck has plenty of indoor and outdoor comfortable social areas in which you can relax in between dives. A spacious dining area is where all the meals will be served. The quality of the food is indeed another aspect that sets this boat apart from all the others: the two resident chefs cook different international and local dishes in every meal, privileging fresh ingredients while sourcing delicacies from abroad as well that will excite your taste buds, while providing all the nutrition you need during a period of intensive diving.
Apart from diving, the boat offers other activities, such as stand up paddle, fishing and snorkeling. And to ensure fully relaxation and pampering, there are also professional massage and bartending services available onboard, while a crew of 14 will be around the whole time to fill all your needs and expectations!
It is also possible to fully charter the boat, making it the perfect option for groups to holiday in style.
The Ocean Divine schedules diving cruises from November until the end of April, offering three dives per day and one night dive per week, while cruising around the less crowded atolls. A dedicated team of dive professionals will go out of their way to show you the wonders of the rich waters of the Maldives, home to amazing pelagic such as whale sharks, the largest population of manta rays in the world and even hammerheads!
The main boat is assisted by two dive tenders, providing guests with more space onboard, making divers’ pick up easier and guaranteeing that they jump into the water right where the dive site is. Nitrox is available and the boat caters to all levels of diving: complete enthusiasts, beginners and “never dived before”, as guests can learn how to dive in the idyllic Maldivian waters by training on different dive sites than the ones visited by certified divers. The owners are also very experienced free divers and are happy to provide onboard free diving courses in extra (130$ for 2 courses)
WHEN TO GO
